Are you a Senior Accountant ready to make an impact? Join our Finance Team.

The Finance team is responsible for managing Holaluz financial statements and supports budget and forecasting activities among other tasks.


Key Responsibilities


● Ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

● Accurately elaborate Holaluz financial statements at consolidated levels and forany individual legal entity.

● Evaluating financial operations to recommend best-practices, identify issues and strategize solutions, and help organizations run efficiently.

● Supervise and coach AP Team.

● Prepare journal entries as necessary during the month in liaison with Controllers.

● Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and analyze variances.

● Managing derivatives accounting (NIIF 9 is nice to have).

● Be responsible for Inter-company balances and reconciliations.

● Monitor group interest loans, monthly calculation, and accruals.

● GL accounts reconciliations.

● Propose improvements to optimize and automate processes and calculations.

● Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.

● Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.

● Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.

● Supports budget and forecasting activities.

● Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
● Collaborate with internal and external audits.

● Assist in development and implementation of new products and ERP.

● Coordination with Accounting, Treasury, B2C, Energy Management, Legal, Solar

and Tech teams to ensure the robustness of the data registered in the ERP on a

timely basis in order to have a monthly report that properly reflects the real image

of the company’s activities.


What We’re Looking For


Education & Experience

Bachelor degree in Economics or similar.

● Proven experience as Senior Accountant, min of 4 years.

● In-depth understanding of ES Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Spanish GAAP) and IFRS 9 (Financial Instruments).
● General Ledger reconciliations and controls.

● Experience in product and ERP implementations, integrations, etc.

● Critical thinking, soft skills: empathy.

● Eagerness to learn new tools, processes and businesses.

● Advanced knowledge of English.

● Communication and coordination with different departments in order to register all transactions in a timely and correct manner.

● Preparing audit files for external auditors.

● Capable of dealing with tight deadlines.

● Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

● Hands-on experience with accounting software packages.

● Advanced MS Excel skills, data mining & analytics.

● Accuracy and attention to detail.

● Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

● Ability to handle data with confidentiality.

● Good organizational and time management skills.

● Abilito to work as part of a team.
